Now that all of our seniors have graduated, it’s time for a collection of the best school’s out songs. Enjoy the following playlist to set the mood for your post-grad and/or summer vibes!
- The obvious start for our graduation portion of this list would be “Graduation (Friends Forever)” by Vitamin C. It might be an older bop, but it’s an all-time classic for the graduation season. This song will remind you of the best times you shared in school with your best friends.
- “Rivers and Roads” by The Head and The Heart is a song I will always associated with graduating, as it was essentially my high school class’ theme song for senior year. This song will most likely make you cry if you’re even slightly emotional, as the lyrics hit the heart and the melody hits the soul.
- “I Love College” by Asher Roth is the song for anyone who had a few wild nights in college. The lyric that will resonate the most with those who are afraid that this is their peak:“Do I really have to graduate or can I just stay here for the rest of my life?”
- And the last song is for those who could not be happier that summer has finally arrived: “School’s Out” by Alice Cooper is the right amount of aggressive and celebratory; it’s the throwback for all of us who have said, “school just isn’t my thing.”
Congratulations to all of the recent grads, and to my fellow still-students, I’ll be seeing you in the fall!
